Wooden pen blanks are high-quality wood blanks, ideal for making ballpoint pens, fountain pens, rings, pipe tampers, and various other woodturning projects. Depending on the wood species, they offer different levels of hardness, colors, and textures, giving each finished piece its own distinctive character.
Wooden pen blanks are durable, easy to work with, and can be enhanced with various surface finishes.
Grain and Appearance
Mimbo Burl Wood stands out for its light, natural coloring and exceptionally lively grain pattern. Its base color ranges from creamy white and soft beige to sandy tones and warm, honey-colored shades.
Particularly characteristic are the numerous small, rounded burl eyes, surrounded by fine, sometimes swirling and wavy grain lines. These give the wood an interesting, varied texture and create a unique, decorative appearance.
The harmonious color transitions and irregularly distributed burl eyes create a natural, almost three-dimensional effect. Calmer areas of wood alternate with expressive, highly figured sections, making each piece visually distinctive.
