Antler Burr – Natural Material – Every Piece is Unique
Antler burrs are an exceptional natural material for pipe making. Their distinctive, naturally grown texture makes them particularly suitable as decorative elements, for example for transitions, rings, or individual accents on a pipe.
What is an Antler Burr?
The antler burr, also known as the coronet, is the widened and usually heavily textured area at the very base of an antler. It is located directly above the pedicle, where the antler grows from the skull.
The characteristic ridges and structures develop naturally as the antler grows, giving every piece its own unique appearance.
Every Piece is Truly Unique!
No two antler burrs are alike. Diameter, shape, height, color, and surface texture can vary considerably. Some are relatively round and flat, while others are taller, more irregular, or have a particularly pronounced natural structure.
The natural colors also vary, ranging from light beige and gray to rich brown and darker earthy tones.
These variations are exactly what make this material so special: every antler burr is a unique piece created by nature.
The product images therefore serve as examples. The piece you receive may vary from the pictures in color, size, height, shape, and texture. Most antler burrs have a diameter of approximately 4–5 cm (1.6–2.0 inches).
Ideal for creative pipe makers who appreciate natural textures and distinctive details.
Please note: This is a natural product. Variations are not defects, but an inherent part of the material and its unique character.
