Elforyn® is a high-quality material specifically developed for the production of components and art objects with an appearance and feel similar to ivory. It consists of a combination of mineral components embedded in a UV-stable resin component, ensuring long-lasting color fidelity and preventing yellowing.
Properties of Elforyn®:
- Excellent machinability – ideal for drilling, milling, grinding, and polishing
- High fracture resistance due to a high modulus of elasticity and significant elongation at break
- Particularly durable surface with high hardness and minimal abrasion
- Resistant to common chemicals such as cleaning agents, oils, greases, as well as weak to moderate acids and alkalis
- Low water absorption, making it hydrolysis-resistant
- Can be shaped by heating in boiling water
- Can be polished and lacquered for matte or glossy finishes
- Allows the creation of translucent and fluorescent effects
- Pleasant feel due to good thermal properties
